About St.Paul's School

History

St. Paul’s School was started in the month of July 1978. When Rev. Girish Chandra and Mrs. Nirmala Marian Chandra migrated from Ranchi, Jharkhand with a vision of starting an educational institution in the historic city of Gorakhpur. The school is a private Christian Minority Institution.

The school was started with Rev. G. Chandra, as its Principal and Mrs. N. M. Chandra, as its Vice Principal from Betiahata, Gorakhpur. In the year 1981, owing to the escalating pressure of admissions, the school lock-stock and barrel was shifted to its present site at Mughalpur, P. O. Chargawan, near BRD Medical College.

The school soon got its affiliation from the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi and in the year 1984, its first batch appeared in the Board Examinations. St. Paul’s was the first I.C.S.E affiliated school of the town of Gorakhpur then; and the neighboring region as well.
