St.Paul's School is located about 8 kilometres away from
the historic and prosperous city of Gorakhpur and is between the state
Agriculture College and Medical College both of which are huge institutions
of the State government. The School is also in proximity with the Fertilizer
Corporation of India Plant a Government of India undertaking. St.Paul's
School was started in the month of July in the year 1978, when Rev. Girish
Chandra and Mrs. Nirmala Marian Chandra migrated from Ranchi, Jharkhand
with a vision of starting an educational institute in the historic city
of Gorakhpur which was devoid of a good school. The School started with
Rev. G. Chandra as its Principal and Mrs. N. M. Chandra as its Vice-Principal.
The School in the very first session grew up to class VI and each progressive
year saw the addition of one new class.
In the year 1981 owing to the escalating pressure of admission - the School,
lock-stock and barrel was shifted to its present site at Mughalpur, P.O.
Chargawan, near Medical College.
The School soon also got its affiliation from The Council for the Indian
School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi and in the year 1984 its first
batch appeared for the board examinations.
The School School is fully managed by The St. Paul's Educational Trust.
